Privacy Policy

Learn how PandaKiko handles chat, vocabulary, voice, advertising, and analytics data.

Information we process

PandaKiko may process chat messages, voice transcripts, Chinese characters you look up, vocabulary entries, review status, browser and device information, and IP addresses used for rate limiting and security.

At this stage, chat history, vocabulary, and dictionary cache are mainly stored in your browser localStorage. Clearing browser data may remove these records.

How we use information

We use information to provide AI Mandarin conversation, pinyin and English translation, text-to-speech, speech recognition, dictionary lookup, vocabulary review, abuse prevention, and product improvement.

We do not sell your personal information. Content you submit may be sent to AI, speech recognition, text-to-speech, rate limiting, hosting, and analytics providers to deliver the feature you requested.

Ads, cookies, and third-party technology

PandaKiko uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and improve ads.

By default, PandaKiko sets Google Consent Mode ad and analytics storage to denied until you allow optional technologies or a configured CMP records consent.

If we serve personalized ads to users in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified CMP with IAB TCF support. You can also use Google's ad settings and your browser settings to manage personalized ads, cookies, and similar technologies.

Voice and learning data

When you use voice features, your browser asks for microphone permission. Audio is sent to a speech recognition service for transcription, and the resulting text may be inserted into the chat input.

Vocabulary, review results, and learning records help you continue studying. If account sync is introduced later, we will update this policy before launch.
