About PandaKiko

PandaKiko is an AI conversation partner for Mandarin beginners. Here is who we are, why we built it, and how the content is written.

What we do

PandaKiko is an AI Mandarin conversation partner. You can practice speaking Chinese with Kiko in real situations — ordering coffee, asking for directions, introducing yourself, checking into a hotel, or getting through the airport. Every reply comes with characters, pinyin, and English meaning so beginners can read, listen, and repeat.

Alongside the chat, we publish a small library of free Mandarin learning guides. Each guide focuses on one concrete situation: it gives the useful phrases, explains how to use them, how to practice, and what mistakes to avoid, then ties everything together with a short mini dialogue.

Why we built it

Many learners memorize plenty of words and grammar but freeze the moment they need to speak. We believe the barrier to speaking Mandarin should be lower — what you need is a patient partner that never judges you, lets you try again, and answers in simple Chinese.

So PandaKiko is designed around three principles: short sentences, fast feedback, and real situations. We would rather help you finish a real exchange in three sentences than teach complex grammar all at once.

How the content is written

The learning guides are written by a real editor around real-life situations and refined one by one with Mandarin teaching experience, rather than mass-produced from a single template. We keep revising existing guides, adding examples, and correcting anything that reads unnaturally or is wrong.

Kiko's conversations are powered by a large language model. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, so please verify important information yourself. Our goal is to make replies useful and practiceable for learners, not to claim they are always perfect.
